Principal
Grainne Aylmer has a wealth of experience in general legal practice, having been admitted to the roll of Solicitors in 1997. She obtained her law degree from University College Dublin (UCD) in 1990, followed by a Higher Diploma in Business Studies from the Michael Smurfit School of Business in 1994. Her professional journey began with an apprenticeship at Malcolmson Law Solicitors in Carlow, where she gained extensive experience working with both private and commercial clients.
After honing her skills in prestigious firms in Dublin and Kilkenny, Grainne returned to Carlow in 2004 to establish her own practice. She was delighted for the firm to celebrate twenty years in Business in 2024, a milestone which was enhanced by the receipt of an award for excellence in personal service from The Powerhouse Women in Business, and receiving a finalist certificate for Professional Services from Carlow Chamber of Commerce.

Ali Kiernan LLB, BL, ADR
Solicitor
Ali Kiernan is a solicitor who holds an honours degree in Law from the University of Wales, honours Barrister at Law Degree and a Law Society Diploma in Compliance and Risk Management and a Diploma in Mediation.
In May 2024 Ali joined Aylmer Solicitors and advises in the areas of conveyancing, probate, Enduring Powers of Attorney, drafting of wills, trusts and estate planning.
Ali brings a unique blend of excellent communication and regulatory skills to the Practice achieving excellent results for our clients.
